Kim Barnes Henson, Philanthropist – Community Outreach in Houston, Texas
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give,
not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Cor 9:7
Kimberley believes in helping others. She is a true giver. She is devoted to serving those who have experienced devastation in life or could just use a helping hand.
Kimberley has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to help create homes for families who are in need of housing. She cares about the community and goes above and beyond to help those who may have experienced misfortune caused by natural or financial disasters.
“The true character of a person is displayed by what he/she does for others.”
Kimberley encourages as many people as possible to give back. If you would like to get involved in the community and help create homes for those in need…
During her term of leadership for HBREA, Kimberley has supported scholarship luncheons to help students with college tuition. Kim strives to raise money for high school graduates seeking to further their education; to find out how you can donate or help Kim along this journey, Click Here

Kim also volunteers her time at the Houston Food Bank, serving those who are in need of a meal. There are countless children and families left hungry throughout the United States of America, and Kimberley does her best to lend a hand to ensure she can help reduce the amount of people hungry in her community.
